What TeslaMR has actually seen on job postings
TeslaMR’s ARMRIT page now names AdventHealth and RAYUS as employers whose live MRI-technologist listings have used ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT language. RAYUS can also ask for an AMA-approved radiography school. That is sourced from public listings, not from a private survey TeslaMR invented for this article.
CMS designates four ADI bodies (ACR, The Joint Commission, IAC, RadSite). ACR names ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT as an MR technologist. IAC MRI Standards 2025 treat ARRT or CAMRT RT(MR) as the MRI staff credential; ARMRIT appears as another medical imaging specialty plus supervised MRI months. Joint Commission’s current imaging page does not name ARMRIT. RadSite recognition is cited from ARMRIT-hosted MAP copy, not a live RadSite fetch. That is a narrower answer than “all four treat ARMRIT as equivalent to ARRT(MR).”
What TeslaMR has not published is a 2026 census of every hospital HR policy. If a recruiter at one HCA or Baylor campus tells you they want ARRT only, believe that campus. Sister hospitals in the same logo family do not always share a credential rule.
Texas employers already named on TeslaMR’s MRI tech programs in Texas page include Baylor Scott & White, Memorial Hermann, HCA Medical City, UT Southwestern, and outpatient groups such as Envision Imaging and RadNet. Naming a system as a market employer is not a claim that every campus hires ARMRIT. Search the live posting.

Texas: TMB, both registries, and the FAQ people miss
Two official facts sit next to each other.
TMB FAQ 58, titled for people who completed an MR program and hold ARRT certification in MR only, says a radiologic technologist license is not required to practice MR in Texas at this time. If an employer requires an MRT license, you must meet Texas Administrative Code Chapter 186, Subchapter B. TAC §186.12 does not list ARMRIT as a GMRT qualifier. TeslaMR is not the TMB. Read the FAQ and the MRT checklist on tmb.state.tx.us before you treat registration as automatic.
The practical hiring read: many Texas hospitals still ask for a national MRI credential. An MRT number is an employer extra, not a condition of practicing MR. Confirm the posting and, if needed, TMB’s current MRT page. Fees change. The live GMRT application page lists $130 plus surcharges. Older tables still show $80 or $85.25. Do not print $135 as a published line item.
When ARRT-only postings still win
If you already hold ARRT radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, or sonography, the faster MRI add-on may be ARRT postprimary, not TeslaMR. TeslaMR is the wrong product for that person unless they specifically want an ARMRIT-accredited MRI certificate.
Academic medical centers and a minority of hospital postings still print ARRT only. TeslaMR has said that on the certification comparison page. Do not argue physics with those HR screens. Build a list of outpatient and hospital jobs that already include ARMRIT, then decide if a second credential is worth years of radiography school.
BLS pay does not settle the argument. MRI technologists had a national median of $88,180 (May 2024 OEWS, SOC 29-2035; TeslaMR salary map, March 2026). TeslaMR does not guarantee a job at RadNet, HCA, or anyone else.
