You're never figuring it out alone.

This is a guided program, not a video library you log into by yourself. Book live one-on-one sessions with registered MR technologists, get unstuck on the physics and safety concepts that trip people up, and walk into the registry exam knowing you are ready.

  • Live 1:1 video sessions with registered MR technologists
  • Real answers when a concept or sequence is not clicking
  • Readiness check-ins before you sit the ARRT MRI exam

MRI is a post-primary ARRT credential, so you must already be certified and registered in Radiography (ARRT(R)), Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Radiation Therapy. This program adds MRI to a credential you already hold. CT technologists qualify too, since they hold the Radiography primary underneath.

Not through this pathway. This ARRT program is post-primary cross-training for technologists who are already registered. If you are starting with no imaging credential, our ARMRIT-accredited MRI program is the entry-level route that takes you from no experience to a certified MRI technologist.

Four parts: self-paced online didactic mapped to the current ARRT MRI exam content specifications, a simulator phase of 250 scans across 20 body parts, support completing the clinical competencies ARRT requires, and registry exam preparation.

Yes. If your current site has an MRI scanner, you can complete your competencies there. If it does not, we help you find placement through our network of 334+ clinical sites across 38 states so you can log and verify the required procedures under a mentor.

Most working techs finish in about 6 months. The online didactic and simulator are self-paced; the timeline mostly depends on how fast you accumulate your clinical competencies, which is faster if you already work where MRI is performed.

Yes. The online coursework and simulator are asynchronous, so you study around your shifts. Clinical competencies are typically completed during regular shifts or arranged with your site, so there is no need to pause your career.

You earn the ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) credential, which is awarded by the ARRT after you complete its structured education, clinical competency, and examination requirements. Tesla MR provides the education, simulator, and clinical placement; the credential itself is issued by ARRT.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging credential is awarded by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon completion of its structured education, clinical competency, and examination requirements. Tesla MR provides the education, simulator, and clinical placement; it does not issue the ARRT credential.
